Your Child's First Dental Checkup

We encourage parents to bring their children in for their first dental checkup as early as age one. During this visit, we'll examine your child's teeth, gums, and jaws and discuss the best way to care for your child's oral health and monitor their oral development. We'll also provide advice on nutrition, oral hygiene, and habits like thumb sucking that could affect your child's oral health.

As your child gets older, we’ll transition them to routine exams and cleanings every six months. Digital X-rays will also be used to monitor tooth development and screen for early signs of decay.

Dental Sealants and Fluoride

Prevention is key when it comes to your child's smile, and that's why we offer dental sealants and fluoride treatments. Dental sealants are a thin, protective coating applied to the biting surfaces of your child's molars to help prevent cavities. Fluoride treatments help strengthen tooth enamel and reduce the risk of tooth decay as their smile develops.

Restorative Treatments for Kids

If your child does develop a cavity or experiences an injury, we offer restorative treatments such as fillings, crowns, and even nerve therapy for baby teeth. It's important to treat dental problems in children as soon as possible to prevent them from causing further damage, involving adjacent teeth, or leading to more serious health issues

Sports Mouthguards

If your child plays on a sports team, we highly recommend a custom-fitted mouthguard to protect their teeth from injury. Over-the-counter mouthguards may not fit properly and don’t offer the same level of protection.

Orthodontic Evaluations

As part of your child’s routine exam, we also perform orthodontic evaluations to determine if your child needs braces or other orthodontic treatment. Early intervention can help prevent more serious orthodontic issues down the road and improve your child's overall oral development.
