Veneers are done in multiple appointments. The first step would be to evaluate your current dentition, discuss your goals, and plan the entire process. We will also take pictures and impressions at this initial appointment to do a diagnostic wax-up, where we actually will be able to show you a model of what the teeth would look like. The second appointment would be the appointment at which we would prepare your teeth for the veneers. This involves making room for the porcelain material by reducing the front surface of the teeth and taking an impression. We then fabricate custom temporaries for you chairside, which you’ll wear for 2-3 weeks while we send the impression to the lab for fabrication of the final veneers. The third and final appointment of the process would be the try-in and cementation of the final veneers. We will remove the temporaries, clean up any of the temporary cement that may be left behind, and try in the veneers to make sure you’re 100% happy with the shape, size, and shade of them. After you are happy with them we will bond them in place with the permanent cement and you’ll be on your way with your beautiful new smile!
