Modern Dental Technology

Digital X-rays

Here at Hamilton Town Dentistry, we only use digital radiography (x-rays). These digital x-rays can be taken with much lower levels of radiation than traditional film x-rays. In addition, these digital x-rays allow us to manipulate the images with our computer to make sure we are able to see every detail. It also gives us the ability to put them on the TVs in each room in order to allow us to educate our patients about what we are seeing, so they can make an informed decision about their treatment.

Intra-Oral Cameras

We use intraoral cameras with all of our patients here at Hamilton Town Dentistry. These cameras allow us to take photographs of the inside of your mouth, giving us the ability to show our patients on the screen what is going on with their teeth, gums, and other tissues within their mouths. You'll be able to see first hand if there is a tooth that has a cavity, crack, or anything else going on.

Dental Laser

A dental laser can be used for a variety of different procedures. It can be used for cosmetic procedures to remove excess gum tissue if you have always wanted to get rid of that "gummy" smile. It can also be used for a variety of other procedures, including treating periodontal disease, frenectomy, and many others.

TVs in Every Room

We have TVs in every room that adjust to go overhead, so when you're receiving treatment you can watch your favorite shows. These monitors also allow us to put the digital x-rays and intraoral photos on the screen in front of you, so we can educate you on everything going on in your mouth, so you can make an informed decision on your treatment.

Magnification

Our doctors and hygienist all wear magnification, called loupes, that allow them to see inside your mouth much better. This gives us the ability to refine everything on a much larger scale, ensuring that you're receiving the best possible care. In addition to that, the doctors have lights attached to their loupes which allow them even better visualization, especially helpful for teeth way in the back of your mouth.
