Frequently Asked Questions
What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a series of clear, removable trays that slowly move your teeth. It does this using very light forces pushing the teeth where they need to be over time. This is a more esthetic alternative to traditional metal braces but can still treat a variety of different cases, with varying complexity. Call today to find out how you can have the beautiful, straight smile you have always dreamed about.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
The average time it takes to complete a case on an adult is approximately 12 months, but that time may vary based on the complexity of your case. Some teeth require more movement than others, and it's important to ensure that they aren't moved to quickly, otherwise it can lead to other issues.
What conditions can it treat?
Invisalign can treat many different conditions, including rotated teeth, overcrowding, excessive spacing, overbite, underbite, and crossbite.
How much does Invisalign® cost?
We understand that cost is certainly a factor when it comes to deciding on treatment. Invisalign® can range in price depending on the severity of the case and insurance coverage. Schedule a consultation with one of our doctors today to find out more details for your situation!
How often do I need to wear my Invisalign® trays?
For optimal results and efficiency, you should expect to wear your aligners for 20-22 hours each day. You should take them out to eat, clean the trays, and to brush and floss your teeth.
What happens when my Invisalign® treatment is complete?
When your treatment is complete, we will remove any of the "buttons" that were added to aid in the movement of your teeth. You will also receive a clear retainer that you will need to continue to wear at night to ensure that the teeth don't shift back towards their original positions.
